My Cars Pennant Banner!

Having been inspired by Better Homes & Gardens, my sister, and lots of others on Etsy, I decided to make a pennant banner for David's 3rd birthday party!

So what do you think?

Another Masterpiece from Quilt Club

I dropped in on Quilt Club this morning and was blown away by the beauty of this piece! The lady you see holding up one end in the artist. This is also using the reproduction fabric and she says this is only half of the quilt! She wasn't sure what the finished size is going to be, but it must be a large king size! The picture at right is a part of the other half of the quilt.

Texas Quilt

This beauty was a collaboration of Momma's Quilt Club. I thought it was impressive enough to get it's own post! This is just the top. It hasn't been quilted yet. It is going to be auctioned off when it's completed.

Quilt Club

TheMomInTheFamily requested some pictures from Momma's Quilt Club, so here ya go. I was there for a while before I saw anyone working. The lady behind these hands told me I should have taken a picture of their mouths because that's what was working today!
This is a collection of reproduction fabrics. Below are a few photos of the blocks one lady has been making with her reproduction fabric.

Some of the other projects that were going below... I can't remember what this was called, but it's appliqued wool. She's made one for each month. I think this one was for her June table.

This redwork Santa is a stocking.

This Sunbonnet Sue below was appliqued onto a canvas bag.

Vintage Apron & Cupcakes...

...and a cute little girl. What more could you ask for? I babysat for a friend Monday. H was having a pink day and wanted to wear the pink apron while we made cupcakes.

Vintage Fabrics

Look what I found at the thrift store Tuesday! I'm not sure exactly what it was supposed to be. Looks like a duvet cover. About a twin sheet size, 2 layers sewn together, one side is pieced, but no batting in between like a quilt. And because of that they charged me the price for a sheet -- $2.00!!! I'd just been to Beverly's and bought a tiny bit of vintage look fabric for almost $9.00 a yard! I'm guessing this is from the 50s. What do y'all think?

So, what should I make with this?

Retro Roses & May Flowers

Look what I made!

Today I rode the bus to DVC with Lauren and tomorrow I'm going to IKEA with a friend of mine -- WooHoo! No sewing tomorrow.
